Plants are living things. Plants need water, air, sunlight and soil to grow.
Plants have differente parts: the seed, the roots, the stem, the leaves and the flower / fruit.

Plants have a life cycle.

Animals are living things. There are many different animals.

They can be vertebrate or invertebrate.

 In this unit we are going to learn the parts of a house and the positions(on, in and under)



Grammar 1: there is/ there are
(expresamos lo que hay)

We use there is (singular) to refer to 1 thing.//

usamos there is para el singular

We use there are (plural) to refer to 2 or more things.//

usamos there are para el plural.

Examples:

There is a hall.
There is a kitchen
There is a dining room. There are four chairs in the dining room
There is a living room. There are many books in the living room.


Grammar 2: there isn't/ there aren't
(expresamos lo que no hay)

There isn't any lion in my house.

There aren't any dinosaurs in my school.
